On 9 August 1956, about 20 000 women marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to protest against legislation aimed at tightening the apartheid government's control over the movement of black women in urban areas.

Miss Heritage Global
Miss Heritage Global is all about bettering the communities in which we exist and this youth day we want to boast several entrepreneurial initiatives while empowering the youth and the broader community to become financially independent.

The latest initiative comes in the form of a Market Day that is to be hosted at Freedom Park heritage site and museum in Pretoria. The event aims to provide all South African youth and community members with an opportunity to promote their services and sell their goods.

We want the day to have a picnic feel to it so that the people who come can have a relaxed day while patronizing the exhibitors and vendors.
